Hi there. I've got a 1971 110 9.8 hp with a broken fuel line adapter -the one attached to the fuel pump that the the gas tank connector plugs into.

My current one is the small one part # 32454.

Can I replace it with a newer style larger one part # 22833.

Thanks

Probably no room for it. Eliminate the connector and hook the hose straight to the fuel pump. Fit the tank end with a connector if it already isn't. It's not the least bit difficult to coil up the hose and carry it along with the motor.

Re: Mercury 110 Fuel Line Adapter

That's a great idea WBW. The small size fuel line connectors for that vintage merc are surprisingly expensive also. I'm wondering if you could run a short length of straight fuel line out of the carb through the cowling with a "modern"/larger size male fitting. Then your fuel tank hose could have a conventional (i.e. larger) size female connector which are commonly found and cheap. Does that make any sense? That way you'd just have a short lenght of hose to schlep around with the motor and could avoid ever again having to buy an expensive old/small connector.

I don't know why I didn't think of that when I got my new/old Merc kicker and had to pay a fortune for a connector for it.
