Having problems with my Merc.....Was wondering what the deal was with the trigger linkage. The past problem was high speed startup. It would rev past 4000 at the touch of the key...I have adjusted the back screw behind the one for the trigger linkage and it seems to idle down much better...My question is.....Is it ok to mess with this screw? Seems my aforementioned problem improves by turning it in to retard the spark....Maybe Im way out of time...Someone please help me I know this is simple

My 115 had a similar problem; perform the 'link n sync' as described by ClamsCanino, this should be a FAQ somewhere in the forum, maybe try a search.
That should take care of your timing and sync issues.
