I have a mercury 115. my waring buzzer is on. I unpluged the temp sensor on the back of the engine, buzzer still on. I unplug a pair of wires going to something on the front of the engine under the lower carb and the buzzer went off. What could it be?

It could be a bad alarm module but it would help to at least know the year of your motor.

it could be a problem with your oil reservior,or sensor,or module.most common problem is :there is a float with a magnet glued to it inside of the oil reservior on the motor.the magnet comes loose from the float & the magnet stays down,so the sensor thinks that there is no oil in reservior.

Blue wires go to oil tank. If unplugging them stops the beep then problem with oil. Could be sensor in tank. The magnet sometimes falls off the float and trips the unit in empy tnak signal.
