I have an older 1984 mercury 115hp in-line six with the seperate trim motor assembly, four hose type.
Everything is currently working, however, the hoses are in need of replacement(white braid showing, one is leaking). I have ordered the hoses, sierra 18-2110 and 18-2111 2 of each.
My question, when they are replaced, what is the correct proceedure for bleeding the system? Sequence for bleeding?
My hyd. cylinders appear to have two hex screws at the top of each, one is smaller than the other. Are these the bleed openings?
Unit uses standard sae 30 oil for fluid.
If anyone has suggestions or needs clarification, I will answer quickly, and could also supply photo's if required.
searched the board, but could not find any specific directions.
Thanks in advance Bob
