hello i have a problim when i touch my motor cabls to the battery it sparks and a buzing noize from the stator every thing clene i just put a new stator on it and triger hope some one out there can hlep me thanks

Remove the rectifier and test with an ohm meter. Suspect it is shorted thru, allowing battery current to return to the stator which will heat it up and destroy your nice new stator.

This may be what killed the old stator.

A simpler test, disconnect the two yellow leads that connect the rectifier to the stator.

Connect the battery, make sure not to reverse the cables.

Use a test light and test each of the yellow leads from the rectifier for power, if any, on either lead, replace the rectifier.

Also check to make sure you reattached wires to rectifier correctly as it sounds like you may have a charging wire (yellow) attached to the hot (red) wire.....

what the best way to test the rectifier i took it off my boat and im inside were its warm at lol lol i have a meter that i brout in thanks for your help so far
