Ok the oil alarm is the next question. Is that the two wires going into the block right next to the oil pump?

Correct me if I'm wrong guys as I am new to outboard motors but if you want to find the oil warning box, follow the wires from the oil tank sensor to the oil warning ecu. I have a 200hp and a couple of the boxes look similar. I also have a question from the experienced Mercury techs here. I have decided after reading a lot of posts to remove my oil pump and install the block off kit. I don't want a 2000 dollar (or more) repair in the middle of the summer. So. Is 50/1 the mix what I should use? I very seldom go WTO as I usually have my wife and two labs on board so we usually cruise about 35 to 40 mph. Wife doesn't like to go 60 and I don't want to throw the dogs out of the boat. I'm sure more is better than less when it comes to lubrication but I don't want to foul plugs and gum up the reeds and rings.

Thanks. That really is a nice looking boat. I'll bet it really screams you get on it.

There are "two" modules that look a like. If you know how to do tha timing on your motor ya need ta take both off. One module will have three wires, white/red, white/ black and a black. It stays if you can't do tha timing. Tha oil module has 5 or six depending on if its a carb or efi best I remember. It can go away. It will have a purple that will need ta be "capped" off. Its a "switched" hot...........

I do not know how to do the timing duke, So id remove only the module with 5/6 wires? And just cap off the purple wire so it doesnt touch a ground?

Yeah. Need ta figure out tha timin' deal or get someone ta do it. Tha other module needs ta go away also just in case it goes south.

Trace tha purple back to tha starboard side. It may be on a term block so you can just de-term it. Some do and some don't have tha term block. Don't remember which do and which don't for sure...........If not, just cap it off.
