Mercury 150HP not Peeing

Start the engine up yesterday and notice that she was not peeing from the pee hole next to the flush hose connector. I always let the water run for about 5 minutes before starting for circulation. I did not find anything in the manual about not peeing. This is the 1st time for this it usually peeing before I start it... HELP

mine wont start peein untill i start it. it takes time for the water to make it all the way to the top of the engine, and the impeller is ran by the engine.

I'm assuming this is a v6. The tattletale stream comes from the drain for the thermostats. The sequence is--pump fills engine, engine heats to operating, t-stats open, tattle stream shows.

It's hard to diagnose without a pressure gauge, which is the best 25 buck upgrade you can add to your boat. One of 4 things is happening.
1. Thermostats not opening, engine overheating
2. Poppet stuck open, top cylinders in danger of overheating.
3. Mud dauber or spider found a home in the tattletale hose.
4. Pump failure, no cooling water at all to the engine.

Sometimes debris will get stuck where the water comes out. Take a small wire and clean it out.

Does the lower unit not have a impeller? If it does, that's probably all it is. It's only a $10-$20 part.

I just replace the water pump in September 08, usually I let the engine fill with water within 5 minutes he is peeing. Then I proceed to let it run. Yesterday I let on for 15 minutes and nothing was coming out. I will try sticking a wire up the hole... Hopefully, he may just had a bad case of gonorrhea and need to the rod up the pee hole.
