Hello. I have an 18h merc that I just put in the water for the first time last night. A couple things I noticed that I'm sure you guys can help me with. First off, it doesn't really want to idle unless I turn the choke knob a bit to change the timing (and basically idle faster) It also runs kinda rought at low rpms. Second, it runs like a raped ape right up until full throttle. When I go that last tiny bit to full it actually slows down a bit. This motor hasn't been run in a few years. It was supposedly serviced before storage. Any help you can give is appreciated. Oh yeah, one more thing. The skeg is ever so slightly bent and I assume this is what is causing the pull to the right. Can a skeg be straightened or am I going to snap it when I try?
