We just bought a 89 procraft w/ 115 hp Merc .Took it to the Marina to have it serviced .When we start it it starts a little hard but does start ,however when we put it in gear it dies .Takes about 8-10 time before we finally get it moving ,runs fine once we get to speed .But it 's rough on low speeds

Also ,I'll show how new I am .Some of my searching says it may be my mixture and idle speeds since the land based Marina probably used muffs which will produce a different load .
Here's my dumb question .On the engine are two adjustments screws .One towards the top ,one about halfway down .Which is which and turn out or in ? right or left ?

Well make sure that there is no air bubbles in the fuel line. When you squeeze the primer bulb don't squeeze it real fast. Just use slow strokes. It sounds like you might just have a air bubble . Take off the fuel line that comes from the fuel pump to the first carb and see if that will release the air bubble. I had mine do the same thing. Hope that helps.

It is my advice that you do not start adjusting any screws until you get a shop manual and peform a link and sync according to the manual's instructions. There are many steps in a link and sync and each step is dependent on all previous steps being correctly done. If you start adjusting timing screws just to see what happens, you might blow the engine. 2-strokes are very sensitive to bad timing.

Just my thoughts...

Recently service by a land based shop, then DO NOT TOUCH IT

Take it back and tell them how it dies going into gear, let THEM readjust the idle mixtures.

They SHOULD NOT charge again for their previous work not done completely.

If you insist on doing it yourself then first get a factory service manual and follow the procedure for idle mixture adjustment.
