mercury 2.4 efi

Looking to purchase a mercury outboard serial number 0b143434 was told it's a racing engine w 245hp,wondering if anybody can confirm this and what year it is?How can i find out if it's ever been reported stolen?thx

If its a Hi-po engine it will have the lite weight one piece cowling and large single intake(see below) If it has stock EFI system it just a XRi motor (220hp). This motor is not for sking,tubing or pontoons (unless racing) and not a troller..
