How about a compression check as if you had a warped head (kinda rare) that mota has been HOTT and its a chrome bore and they dont like heat.....

Hummm, I wonder if that oil tank was sitting on the fuel line and when it was moved it fixed the problem? Lean outs will make them hot headed.

On a chrome bore a lean out usually equals sleeve....

Despite the thread title, I don't think wameyer is really serious. He'll ride this horse on a bad shoe till it breaks a leg.

I had a hard time finding transom oil. I found it right next to the muffler bearings.

No Mr. J Martin. I have done what you said because I am trying to stay on the water. I was going to change the coil out when we went to the lake yesterday after we found out we had a bad coil we werent expecting the boat to do anything but we tried it anyway. I dont go around just starting threads wherever I can . I really appreciate all the help that was given to me. We have a few theories of what the problem might have been. Trash in the water seperator coupled with a bad head and weak coil.
