1st motor would start off wot 5600 5800 rpms, the man stated it would drop rpms to about 4000,and alarm would sound. So yea, overheating, he told me he put it on muffs, and ran it with low pee pressure, then he says he continued to run it on muffs while squeezing the muffs onto the motor and it would pee stronger. ( yea I know, right) I changed his impeller and gaskets, ran it in tank, strong water pressure.
He picked boat up took it to the river, he said he ran it about 2 minutes, slowed down and the couldn't get the rpms back up passed 4000 rpms. But this time no overheating alarm.
Any ideas, wondering if he burnt something up when he ran it hot before. My impression of him is that he is slightly inpatient, Impulsive and ran it awhile while low water pressure.
