Mercury 25hp 4 Stroke Bigfoot vs Standard (pros/cons)

I have read a couple if different posts on the bigfoot vs standard Merc but am still unsure about the implications in my scenerio.<br /><br />I am planning on purchasing a fishing boat with a 25hp 4 stroke (something). I have found a nice package that includes the boat I'm looking for (typlical Deep V, floor, pedestal seats, livewell, etc) with a dry wieght of 450lbs. This boat comes with a 2006 25hp 4stroke bigfoot tiller.<br /><br />I'm looking for a motor that will get this boat to plane with a light load (me and my two young kids) as well as fully loaded (myself and two full grown men with camping gear).<br /><br />Will the bigfoot server me in both cases or should I go for a standard model. There must be a weight difference between the two motors.<br /><br />Any thoughts or experience would be helpful.

Go for the standard model.<br /><br />The Bigfoot swings a bigger prop slower, which is more efficient for pushing heavy loads at low speeds. At planing speed it would not be as efficient as the standard prop size turning faster.<br /><br />Bigfoots are for pontoons and barges, not intended for "sport" boats.<br /><br />Brunswick greatly overestimated the market for bigfoots and is trying to get rid of them by pushing them in sport boat packages to neophyte boaters.
