Mercury 50 classic exhuast leak at the top of engine

When I was coming back into the dock this weekend I hear a sound like a exhaust leak. I got it home and the leak is coming from the top of the engine. I didn't notice any loss of power and the engine runs great. Any Ideas what to start checking?

Check for missing bolt/s in exhaust plate or loose spark plugs.

I figured it out. It was the transfer port cover gasket. Thanks for your help though.
