Hi. Long time. Hope everyone's well.
I'm working on a 50ELPTEFI fuel injected four stroke. I am told the alarm is sounding.
I started the boat and the alarm is not sounding. She idled at the dock for several minutes with no alarm. I did not take her for a ride, but it seems to me that no sound at this power up indicates a temperature issue. I have asked the owner to get me when the alarm is sounding so I can troubleshoot. The water pump is pumping like crazy as per telltale. Any idea what temperature should measure on the case exterior?
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you,
J

If I remember right, there are three things that can cause an alarm

1.Temp - long sustained beep
2.low oil pressure. (with rev cut)
3.I believe batt voltage (this im a bit fuzzy on)
