I can squeeze the bulb all day, and it will not harden. I also can hear what sounds to be air coming from the carb area when I am pumping on the bulb.

The bulb and all fittings are new, fuel tank is new, it is properly vented, and everything has hose clamps on it.

The motor will run fine, it you choke the **** out of it to get the gas to the carb.

Motor is a 1974 65hp.

Ok just for future reference, it turned out to be a faulty fuelpump diaphram. Apparently, the air in the fuel line was just pushing right the fuel pump not allowing any suction on the fuel. Problem is fixed.

DJENAN, one question. What does removing the flywheel and setting the timing have to do with the fuel system?
