Mercury 6hp

Hello, we have a 6hp mercury and having some trouble finding out what year it is for parts/plugs etc... It has about 60psi on both cylinders and looks like a good blue spark on both. We tried some mixed gas in the cylinders and it turned over for a few seconds... The serial # on the transom mount is 3624198.

This sight says that number goes to a 1973 7.5 hp mercury http://www.maxrules.com/Merc_model_files/7p5-9p9.html.

Rebuild the fuel system carbs, pump ect.. and new plugs and wires. It should run even with 60 psi. Take is out and run a good amount of sea foam though it. See what happens.
