Mercury 8 Hp

I was wondering if someone could help me out here. I have purchased a trolling motor and don't have much info on it but I know its a Mercury 8 HP, 2 stroke serial number A720798. I am looking for a manual for this motor but don't know how to look it up ie year.

The whole serial number?? That is what the serial number sticker says.

The sticker is on the mounting bracket and is the only one that I can find on it.

Check under the hood. Mine is on starboard side.
