Try turning your idle screws out 1/8th turn. How long has the motor sat up?

Re: mercury 80 stalls

John if that don't do it try the Timing & Snyc of Merc Inlines posted by Clams on 3 May 06. This procedure works very well. Most will run fine on the muffs. The real test is when you put them under load. Also welcome to iboats. You'll find this forum very helpful there are some real experts on here that are willing to help.

Get a can of seafoam mix it a little heavy the first time to clean out the fuel system that should help it.
If the plugs are not new replace them after that try adjusting your air screws 1/8 turn at a time
(See clams link and sync for help adjusting them)
also I would do a decarb so get a can of deep creep made by seafoam start with the decarb.
You may want to run a compression check. If that don't do the job you will have to pull and clean the carbs.
Good Luck,Tim
