Mercury 8hp rinsing

Just bought secondhand 8hp probably build 1995 as a back-up for my Force 50hp. <br />It is not possible to use the familiar 'headphone' to rinse the engine after use in saltwater.<br />I have no manual, and would like to learn how I can rinse this engine without having to put it in a bath..<br />Any suggestions?

Does it have a FLUSH PLUG?

Or put it in a trash can, 55 gal drum. There probabably is a flush kit adapter available somewhere. Try WestMarine.

Im pretty sure that it is possible to do that. I think your are refering to muffs. Good idea to back up that Force.
