Mercury 9.9 4 stroke transom clamp

I need a transom clamp screw assembly for a 9.9 4stroke Mercury and cannot seem to find the right part number. When I look for it I see listings but the part number says not available or obsolete. The motor is only a couple years old and is the same (appears so anyway) as the current model. Will this part number (10-92767A 3) work?

I really don't know. I have never been able to find out if they come in different sizes on different motors. I ordered a new one from ebay. Hoping it works.

that should fit a 9.9 merc. i have a 2006 9.9 and if i had too order one, that is the part number i would use. what happened too your old one?

Part replaced by Mercury part # 92767A6. 20 bucks at any Merc dealer.

The old one was missing the round cupped end. I scrounged the handle from the broken one to repair the broken handle on another motor.

I guess there is probably a Mercury dealer fairly close by... just have never been there.

A follow up. The part number we thought would be correct,...was not. The clamp I bought was too large in diameter. Will not fit.
