Unit is stuck in forword won't go into reverse or neutral starts in forword also but no reverse, did I break the clutch spring? Shifter rod seems fine but here a clicking noise when I try to turn prop backwards please any help would be great. I have it all apart except I can't get the driveshaft out to remove the rest of the gears ect

Hi.
I'm stuck on what you mean stuck.

Does the stick move back and forth and the engine never leaves forward?
Check the mechanical linkage at the engine for back and forth movement from stick.
Can you shift the engine manually ?

Or, is the stick stuck in forward and you can't pull it backwards to neutral or reverse?
You'll have to open the gear shifter box for his one.

Clicking in prop one way indicates in gear, not neutral.

Can you provide serial number?
