Good point. As I don't see them on their website anymore. All they showcase is the Verado, regular 4 strokes, EFI, and Optimax's.

-andy

That's the plan.....may be like the 1976 Cadillac Eldorado being the last convertible???

Re: Mercury Carb.Engine's

I ordered for free on the internet from Mercury Marine their latest brochure for 2006 and there were not any carbureted engines listed..The only two strokes are the optimax 2 stage direct fuel injected..75HP thru 225HP.....2.5HP single cylinder pushrod 4 stroke...sounds silly...

I have even heard talk that Merc might be having problems with the Orbital injection license and royality payments. It is the same system that Tohatusu/Nissan are using. Could it be that Mercury will follow Suzuki and Honda in just building 4 stroke engines? It will an interesting year for the 2006-2008 models and what survives with the enviromental requirments. Some of the Opti-Max engines do not meet the Calif Carb ratings.
