A914859 - B110788 1986 4 cyl 45 HP (Drop the "O")

Oil injection on the merc is very reliable if maintained. I'd keep it.

If it has not been run in 2 years, replace the water pump and lower unit fluid. Drain all the old oil out of the resevoir and lines. Replace it with new TCW-3. You will also want to remove and clean out the carbs, as crud from stale fuel will cause problems. Rebuild kits are available. Use TCW-3 oil and squirt a little in each spark plug hole and turn it over by hand before you try to start it to lubricate the cylinders.

It is a very good motor. Get a Manual and keep it maintained.

Factory Manual
