The gamefisher's that I've seen were Sears motors. Did merc produce them for Sears?

To my knowledge, a company by the name of Eska made the outboards with the Sears / Ted Williams label.

Re: Mercury Gamefisher 9.9

Depends on the year and you can tell by the model number Eska begins with 217,Merc 225.
A number of other companys built for Sears but I think the 9.9s are either Eska or Merc.

The Gamefishers from with Merc #'s were actually Force engines.

Correct. As far as I know, there were no true Mercury Gamefishers. They were Forces.
