I have a Merc KF7 I am planning on rebuilding, I have the opportunity to get a KG7 powerhead, will I be able to replace the KF powerhead with the KG powerhead without any modifications and get the uprade in hp and perfomance. Will the tank and lower cowl fit. I understand I will need a KG carb, but I am planning on using the KF ignition.
