mercury lower unit / which years fit which?

my 1980 115hp merc (straight 6) needs lower unit. is there a way to find out what years/horsepowers of lower units will fit in it?

All the lower units for inlines starting from the early 70's to I think 1984 will fit.Even the 80hp and 85hp inline 4'S will fit.Although 80hp 4 banger the gear ratio was 2:3 and 85 on up used a gear ratio of 2:1. 15 spline prop shaft and a 20 inch driveshaft with 8 splines. I think all the way up to 150hp inlines all the same..
