Mercury malfuntion lamp and harness

I was wondering if anyone would know where I could purchase a Mercury malfunction lamp and harness P/N 91-884793A1. This would allow me to read fault codes off my Four Stroke 115hp built in 2005. They call this out in the Mercury Shop manual but I have been unable to find anyone that sells this diagnostic tool. Think it would be great to keep on the boat in case of a break down..

You dont need it, just get a small lamp replacement assy from auto parts, remove connector and stick wires into diagnostic connector and count flashes, sort of like Goverment Motors OBD 1 system.

Faztbullet, I was going to do that except the newer motors have a little different setup than the old two wire lamp setup. They seem to have a third wire that connects somewhere else down below the connector.

Still will work, third wire is for malfunction lamp. Just stick one wire in black(grnd)terminal and other in the blue/white terminal.

Thanks Faztbullet I will make up a harness and try it out. Think it would be nice to have one aboard just in case I have a break down out on the water and it is something easy to fix..
