The pictures show it's a TR, He gave us the year in reply #9 and I gave him a link to the manual in reply #10 after that, it's been all about rain or under water.

Arrr, the old '2 threads merged into one' trick.... I didn't see the photos (must have been on the thread I didn't see :faceplam: ). As you were....

No, I seen it, Picture is too small to see anything. As far as it not coming off, probably rust and corrosion. Shifting is in the transmission, not in the drive so shifting to forward does nothing, that's only for Alpha drives.
Did you look at the manual on how to remove the drive?

Manual pretty much says remove the 6 nuts and slide it off. I know its gummed up inside the gimbal. If I raise and drop the outdrive sand shakes out. Prop won't spin also, hoping because of that. Assuming prying and beating is the only thing going to shake it loose.

Ayuh,.... Try puttin' a block of wood up-under it, 'n Slam it down against the wood...

Or,... Put the trim rams back on, 'n use the hyd.s to push it off...

Thanks Bondo, a little oinking and off she came. I will forward pics when the transom is stripped and the fiberglass work begins. Leaning towards installing the Izuzu diesel motor and volvo outdrive. The crap on it won't be going back on.

Is this the fresh water supply for the old engine with the tr outdrive. Assuming I can remove and plug the hole in the bottom of the boat. Engine options I have are outdrive supplied.

I would also appreciate a link to the manual specific to the 888 outdrive.
