Mercury model year? s/n 2665621

Hi, I'm looking at getting an older mercury 80hp motor. The guy is not sure what year it is and I can't figure out there system. It's black with red band decals and red emblems. Say's thunder bolt ignition on the front. The s/n is 2665621. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Trent, I thought it looked older then what he was guessing, 1978, but he was going by the year of the boat it is on. He is asking $800 for it and throwing in an old really bad boat and even older trailer. Thanks again
