I have a 2005 60 hp mercury 4 stroke that is giving out of gas when running at 3/4 to full throttle. It will shut off and I will pump the bulb a few times and crank up and go again for 1 to 2 minutes and it does it again. What could be the problem. I did replace the bulb and the gas line with no change. This motor is in a 2005 Bass Tracker with a 21 gallon gas tank. Thanks in advance.

sounds like carbs are not adjusted or timing
check your vent line for kinks same thing with fuel lines

It is EFI. Fuel lines are OK. I even replace the bulb on the line attached to the buld. A dealer said he though it would be the fuel pump going bad. What do you think?? It is a brand new motor.

[colour=blue]EFI mercs run 2 fuel pumps, a mechanical one (low presure) and an electric one (high pressure). The primer bulb is no longer required - the system is self priming.

I suspect a low pressure pump failure BUT these engines have a big bucket full of electronics and an equal amount of testing equipment. You need to get her to an authorised dealer for diagnosis. It's under warranty, not even worth lifting the hood, let merc deal with it.

If you have an external fuel/water filter, change that first - it is not a warranty item.
