Mercury not peeing

I have a 2003 Mercury 150 2 stroke. Today I noticed that the engine doesn’t pee. I stuck a paper clip up the hole, blew into the hole and it seems free. The impeller was replaced last spring. Any ideas? Thanks! I’m excited to launch my boat this Sunday but I don’t want to harm the engine. Thanks!

I’d like to mention that I haven’t run the motor over a minute to prevent engine damage. Does it take a long time for water to reach the hole?

If it a 2.5 150Hp it can take up to 3 mins o hose for it to "pee' as t-stats must open first.

Is it dumping out the the prop hub good?

Need more than a paper clip to unblock any crud. If that’s what it is. I used to use a electrical wire.
