Mercury Optimax opinions

All,

Looking at buying a new boat with a 2013 150 HP Mercury Optimax. New Engine.

I've run Four Strokes, I/O's, 2 Strokes, E-Tec's and the Lot.

How does the Optimax compare to say, the E-Tec?

Opinions/Experiences?

I would not hesitate to buy an optimax. Actually prefer over e-tec

I have always been a johnny-rude guy, never thought I would hang a black anchor off the back of my boat, but I did buy a boat a year ago that has a 115hp Opti on it. I absolutely love it. Fires right up and starts every time, and its super quiet for a 2 stroke. When its idling at the dock, you cant really even hear it running until you get right up to it. Pretty decent power too. If I were buying new, I wouldn't hesitate for a second.
