Why is the Mercury Mariner Force (1993 40 hp ob) named that and not just Mercury Mariner? Is this a Mercury motor or Force or both??? My serial number tells me that it is a Force. This is confusing.
Mercury took over force in the early 90's. The motor its self is a force but the lower unit is a mercury(thats a good thing). When you need parts all ways look under force.
