Sounds like an oil alarm. Check you oil level in the engine tank and the 3 gal on the boat. Take a look at the clear hoses on the engine and make sure they are ok and not brittle and cracked. If there is oil in the 3 gal tank, and no or low oil in the motor tank, loosen the cap and see if oil is flowing, when it starts to come pout of the cap, tighten just enough so it doesn't leak, the caps like to crack if too tight.

i have never owned a merc that ran. but if its like a omc it will beep just to let you know the beeper works ony two things i can think of is water temp and no or low oil if it has oil injection. if it has good stream from the pee hole i would look into your oil supply

The beeping is definitely from the oil alert module. It could be a sensor problem, or it could be not getting oil.

If it's been running much without oil, it'd be toast. I wouldn't buy it unless I could run a compression test on it first, and negotiate owning the oil system problem.

Then, mix oil with the gas until you figure it out, like the owner's manual says to do.

hope it helps

the thing is we need to make a decision by morning but yea it had allot of white smoke so i am sure it was getting oil,one thing i did notice is there was no stream of water that's why we changed the impeller what i did was removed one of the hoses off the head and ran the motor for a second
to see if water was making up to the head and it was...so now what could that mean ?

The beeping is the oil system. Oil burns blue smoke. Fogging oil burns white, and steam is white.

Run a compression check and decide if you want to own the relatively minor problems, but it will be major shortly if it isn't already.

I'm done here.
