mercury twin 9.8 year?

trying to find year---ser-1617360..i think its a 1963 model 110...just aquired this and looking to see if worth rebuilding powerhead.was in local flood and submerged.powerhead is siezed,but lower good,pull nstart all good and in really good cosmetic condition....

says 9.8 mercury twin on side of all alluminum cowl.

gonna start the tear down tomorrow and see if its rebuildable or if its going in the scrap barrel.will post some pics soon.

some pics...been soaking in penatrating oil...crank will rock a bit now..

looks like it may be better for parts or scrap...kinda costly to rebuild.....

just to close this thread....found someone that needed it for parts....its gone and not scrapped.
