Mercury Verado 175hp alarm sensors

the following alarm numbers appear in the smartcraft system display SC5000:

Alarm 110 and Alarm 148

The motor works fine but can anyone explain to me what these alarms are coz i cant find them on the user manual.

110=Shift Position Fault
Fix=wiring problem,switch failed or check linkage.
148=ESC and neutral switch postion fault
Fix=harness problem or failed switch

Basicly, the computer dosen't like what its seeing from the switch.
Ya need CDS to fix it, to the dealer ya go.

I have a 2008 Verado 150 equipped with Smartcraft gauges. I sometimes have issues with shifting forward or into reverse from neutral, once it stayed in forward when I put it in neutral. My alarm goes of and signals "shifter critical error". My repair shop said everything checked out fine. I just had it out yesterday.... and the same thing happened. I waited a few hours and tried it again.... and it worked fine. Any suggestions?
