I currently have 1985 50 HP Mercury with Tilt and Trim Cylinders mounted on a 1965 Alumacraft. I need to locate a Pump/motor/ resoviour and have a few leads except they all are for a Mercruiser with 2 lines and I need one with 4 lines.

Is it possible to build a 4 way with standard fittings or do I need to buy the outragously priced Hydraulic block with 4 ports to bolt to the bottom?

Re: Mercury VS. Mercruiser Tilt and Trim pumps

I just went through this and with the help of member Monk-Monk I got it working.

Do you have the old pump?

If so you will have to take the valve body off of the Mercury pump and put it on the Mercruiser pump.

I think there's 4 bolts that hold it on.

There is also a plate that comes off as well.

You'll need to pick up some o-rings.

Here's a link with a picture.

Very straight forward.

All hydraulic pumps have one up circuit and one down circuit. It is perfectly functional to use brass Tee fittings to create extra ports.
