Mercury XR6 150 beeps constantly

Mercury 150 XR6 Beeps and motor will not start. I thought it could be he kill switch but not sure if it would beep continuously. I have read that constant beeping is a warning of oil problems. Does the beeps only mean that and not the kill switch?

Howdy.

I don't think a kill switch on any motor will cause an alarm. It's something else making it beep.

When you say not starting, is it cranking?

a continuious Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep? over temp related alarm or continued oscillating beep, beep, beep, beep etc.? oiler related alarm.
neither will keep motor from crankin' and/or startin'.......
do you get tha self check beeps when key is trurned to on or does it alarm immediately when key is turned on with motor cold?

Check your remote oil tank in the bilge, oil tank on engine and flow.
mid they all good...check the float isn’t saturated in the oil tank and sinking
