I have a 1999-2000 115HP Carb Merc, engined tunred off, I checked the oil and it was on the add level on the oil stick, I didn't hear a beeping noise and I was able to run the engine for 20 additional minutes a very low speed before shutting down for good. Put in new oil but the engine would not start It did have a burning smell, the engine was circulating water and it was not an overheating issue. Any ideas?
