Hey guys I just want to thank you in advance for your help. OK here is my situation, my motor was running just great the other day and all of a sudden I was cruising about 3/4 speed when it started bogging down. When it finally stalled I tried to start it again and it just clicked like I had a dead battery. upon inspecting my batteries(optima blue top) and (megatron deep cycle) the terminals of my batteries were extremly hot to the touch. I disconnected my accesory battery (megatron) and hooked up just my blue top and everything worked fine and I got back into my dock. I took out both batteries and brought them to autozone and they both showed good but they were drained quite a bit. I went back to the boat and hooked up just the blue top and hooked up my volt meter with the engine running and it read charging which was good, now when I wired in the other battery neither of them were reading as charging with the motor running but just 12 volts. I believe the batteries are wired in parellell on a 1,2,both battery switch. should they be wired in series because the switch doesnt appear to be working properly. even with the batteries off some stuff stilll works and on battery 1 on the switch everything works as well as on battery 2 everything works so I dont get it. I did not wire this up some other guy did but I think I should have. Does anyone have a diagram of the proper way this should be wired? if not a description will do just fine. Thanks a ton guys for the help.<br />James
