1972 Johnson 65 with a metal impeller housing. When removed rom the lower end, there was no gasket material between either the housing and the base plate, or the base plate and the lower end. Looking at evinrude.com at the exploded parts diagrams, they are not supposed to be there. Can anyone tell me the correct gasket material to use between these parts? I've replaced a few impellers before, but never one with a metal housing, they were always plastic.... Also, what is the correct name for the blue "goo" used to lube the impeller and seals? I loaned my jar of this out, and never got it bacck, and can't recall the correct name for it. Thanks for the help!
