Anybody know about MFG boats from late 70's? I've heard of trailers by this name. I'm looking at a 1979 MFG cuddty. Is the boat worth restoring? Any info would be helpful.

Scroll down to Boat Owners by Manufacturer. Place the cursor over MFG and left click. There is a good deal of info there.

Sail or power?

MFG produced sound if not fancy boats that frequently need little restoration to be quite usable and a lot of elbow grease to look new.

Re: MFG Boat Co

I don't know how I missed that when I checked the mfg's list. Thanks.
She's powered with a chevy 305. Unfortunately, I have a husband who hates boats but is quite handy. I've already (and almost finished paying off) a 1976 33' "old lady" and needs a lot of work. I ran into this MFG parked in someones yard. Guy is going through divorce yada, yada, yada. Seems like a really good deal. It was pouring rain when I stopped to look at it so I'll arrange a closer look this week. My husband is going to kill me!:D

I'm a sucker for a boat. They don't make them like they used to so I'm always attracted to the "old ones".

Thanks for the help. I'll let you know how it works out.

Hi Marla! Welcome !
I'm gonna guess W.K. might have told you of the "Fiberglassics" site -there is a whole MFG section there with most of the old brochuers . Should help ID your prospective purchase . Send us some pictures too (we love pictures).
Oh P.S. show your hubby all the helpfull people with generous info here - it may ease his aprehensions.......:D
