After the frustration faced as a result of no parking on Friday I ventured back this morning though much earlier. I parked on the street close to the Omni hotel where they had the in-water shoe for power boats. I caught the first shuttle bus and made it to the Miami Beach Convention Center about 10 minutes before the show opened. The crowds were not bad at all but that was to be expected that early. I went to the show primarily to look at chartplotters and ended up ordering a Lowrance 337C (West Marine had the best price). I had expected that I would find the prices pretty close to what I found by searching the internet. I was pleasently surprised by getting what I was looking for and saving about $150.00 over what I thought they would go for.

As to the show itself - it was almost a carbon copy of what I had seen in prior years down to the location of the vendors/displays, the products offered and even the sales folk who manned the booths. The weather was at Miami's finest - bright blue sky, not hot. I don't know about sales at the show but I saw a lot of folks sitting at little tables with salesman by their sleek boats.
