Microplas Microboat

Well as my last build has been put in the completed projects file I thought I would share my next little project.
Not the sweetest looking classic boat I have ever seen but I think it has a bit of character She is a microplas microboat and was made in the 50's & 60's going by the serial no I'd say she is an early one but I don't know how many were made, I only know of two others in existence and they are in the UK if anyone else has any info on them I'd love to hear it.

There is a little clip of one here TAKE TO THE BOATS aka NATIONAL BOAT SHOW - British Path? at the 1962 boat show.

Ok, well, now that's settled, I'll just sit over here on a stool & be quiet for a bit..........................

Before I go sit down, I'll say it again here: Nice scallop. Really compliments the hull's bulbous features.

You's folks will just have to wait

Looks like a Jelly Bean!

I'd paint it a nice bright yellow, orange, red, or purple.

Well look at that, the amazing Kreskin, right here in our midst...... Pssst.... Sean's slow playing this. It's been painted. Quite well actually. And in 1 of the color's you recommended.

This is the look I went for.




I also made a little dash.




The finish isn't too bad so I don't think I'll go through the fine sanding and polishing as I will be using it just for a bit of messing about

Some really nice work there Sean, and I'm sure you'll turn a lot of heads when you're out on the water in it.
