Hi wrecks depending on what oz cloth you use and what type, 8.9oz S glass is very strong and good for fractures, were as a 6oz E cloth is a good finishing cloth with a smooth finish.

If you are who I think you are give me a call before you buy the fiberglass as I have some you are welcome to.

Thanks Sean-Nos i`ve got it already. Just making sure I`m going the right way about doing the job before I get too far into it. I just need the time now to get it done. The season almost here and still havent the boat ready and I taught I`d have it ready last year. :)

Re: microplus 571

I have a question for you guys so here it is,did I make a mistake in painting the trailer black ? My friend said I should have painted it a different colour to help see it better in the water. I do plan on putting reflectors along the trailer and on the mudguards. So guys what is your opinions please as I was going to finish trailer tomorrow now wondering to paint again or not.

Why do you want to see it in the water? You are detaching it from the boat....right?:D:D

Re: microplus 571

Been away from the boat for the last few months with work and one thing and another. I got back doing some work today I plan on getting more done over the weekend. I got most of the grinding and cleaning done today. Tomorrow I plan to tackle laying some fibreglass so i`ve a few questions on that. I`ve cut out bad glass and cleaned down surfaces, now how many layers would do the job. Should I use a few layers of different sizes of fibreglass or would one layer be enough. If more than one layer can I put this on top of first layer while its still wet. Pics taken before grinding and cleaning finished.

Re: Bilge problem

Re: Bilge problem

Another couple of days and i`ll be finished these fractured areas that I`m reinforcing. The next big thing i want to do is the bilge area, but I`m not sure what is the best way to do this area. Has anyone any good ideas on this area. Cover it over or modify, one of the problems is that the stringer goes nearly all the way back to the transom. Here is how it looked when i got it first, I cut it out futher to do a repair job on the hull.
