mid 70's omc drive coming out of forward elic shift

goes and stays in reverse fine but in forward put in gear move the lever a little bit more forward and comes out of gear, any help here

check the prop hub.
if its good double check voltage on the fwd wire at the dissconnect just inside the transom. if all else is well its most likly the fwd gear coil.
neither fun nor cheap.

thanks alot will check that out on the voltage side of things and than check the voltage at contol box sounds as if it will be the coil. is thier a adjustment or is that new model?
