So Friday I pull up to the boat ramp and the engine dies. OK, no biggie. It happens once in a while. When I get it to the marina boat wash, it won't start to flush it. I take the engine cover off and give it some pulls. Nothing. But I did notice with each pull, fuel being pumped out a port on the left side of the carb, something I've never noticed before. Any ideas about this before I take it to the shop? Thanks.

Sounds like some debris got into the float valve.------No need to rush to a shop at say $80 / hr.----Easy to learn and do this type of repair yourself.

Sounds like float valve isn't closing (needle/seat stuck open), if fuel overfills carb bowl until it comes out the carb vent.

$$ is in the shop time, so good to get a manual/parts blow up and try it yourself if comfortable with that. Will have to get the carb off.
