Hello, I'm new to the whole 2 stroke deal so please bear with me. I'm 4stroke savvy but not so much on the 2 stroke.
I have a 1972 Evinrude 25hp sportster #25202 that I have rebuilt the whole motor and I have just now started using it out on the water and the motor used to idle poorly. I adjusted the lean rich needle after the our first trip of stalling at idle a bunch in the idle zones, I leaned the low speed/ lean rich needle she idles great in gear and slow, still smoking a little.
Ok, with a little history of the motor. How do you know on my motor if the low speed is set up right? How should the lean rich be used while the motor is in operation, start up ETC.
While getting beginning to get up on plane from idling for a awhile it seems to have a miss but once on plane it seems to clear out and run great. All points coils condensers wires plugs ETC are all new. Compression is 130 and 128 PSI
