** Mid Section **

I have a 1993 Johnson 225. I need to replace the midsection / swivel mount steering arm / exhaust housing. My motor is an extralong 25".... My question is, can I replace the complete mid section with a XXL 30" version? I found one of these that is complete, and in good order, and the price is right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you can locate a 30" drive shaft for a 93 (be careful, they changed slightly during that model year!!!!), a shift rod for a 30", and you can safely and easily mount the new setup with the cav plate even or slightly above the keel, then yes you can!<br />PS you will also need a water tube extension that comes with the complete waterpump kit!<br />Good luck
